Virginia Competes at National Open for Track & Field

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia’s Eliese Mitchell (Narvon, Pa./Garden Spot) finished with a pair of top-eight finishes, taking fourth in the 20# weight and 7th in the shot put.

On the men’s side, two Cavaliers took home sixth place finishes as Jarrett Hagwood (Martinsville, Va./Laurel) took 6th in the 60m hurdles (8.09) and McGavok Dunbar (Birmingham, Ala./Briarwood) finished sixth in the 800 (1:51.86).
