CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The #45 University of Virginia men’s tennis team faces in-state rival Virginia Commonwealth at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday (April 4) at the Snyder Tennis Center in Charlottesville. The match was originally scheduled to start at 3:00, but was moved to 1:00.

VCU is ranked 26th in the Collegiate Tennis Rankings released on March 28. The Rams feature the nation’s second-ranked doubles team of Florian Marquardt and Frank Moser. Both players are ranked in the top 100 of the singles rankings as well.

Virginia fourth years Brian Vahaly (Atlanta, Ga./The Lovett School) and Huntley Montgomery (Chapel Hill, N.C./Chapel Hill) comprise the country’s No. 3 doubles team, which should make for an exciting match at No. 1 doubles. Vahaly is 12th in singles in the most recent rankings.
