Charlottesville, Va. – The IWLCA Poll Committee has released thesixth week’s rankings for the NCAA Division I lacrosse field for 2001.

The top 20 schools all remained the same this week, and the IvyLeague schools were the highest movers as Yale, Dartmouth, and Cornell allmoved to their highest ranking of 2001.

The sixth weekly IWLCA Poll for the 2001 season is as follows (withcurrent records, poll points,first place votes, and last week’s ranking).

Also receiving votes: New Hampshire, Harvard, Notre Dame

The #4 Blue Devils take on their second consecutive top-20 opponentin #18 Hofstra on Tuesday while #1 Maryland and #9 William & Mary draw thatday as well. On Wednesday #6 North Carolina and #12 James Madison face off,while Thursday sees #5 Georgetown attempting to knock off the top-rankedTerps. #13 Penn State and #14 Old Dominion draw on Friday the 13th. OnSaturday CAA foes #16 George Mason and #9 William & Mary square off, and #7Yale hosts #4 Duke. The Terrapins continue against top-20 competition with#19 Johns Hopkins as well. On Sunday the #13 Lions welcome the #10 BigGreen.
