CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – University of Virginia senior Cameron Yancey was named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference men’s golf team that was selected by a vote of the league’s nine head coaches. Georgia Tech senior Bryce Molder was named ACC Player of the Year and Bruce Heppler was named Coach of the Year after leading the Yellow Jackets to the ACC Championship. Wake Forest freshman Bill Haas earned ACC Rookie of the Year honors.

Yancey has competed in six tournaments this spring for the Cavaliers and was selected to participate in the 2001 NCAA Men’s Golf Championship. The native of Blackstone, Virginia was the Cavaliers’ top finisher at the ACC Championship, placing third with a five-under-par 211 (71-71-69). Yancey tied for ninth at the Cleveland Golf Collegiate Championship in Aiken, South Carolina on March 19-20.

Clemson placed three players on the All-ACC team, and Georgia Tech, N.C. State, and Wake Forest each had two on the squad. Duke, North Carolina and Virginia each placed one on the All-ACC team.
