Randy Bungard Named Southeast Regional Coach of the Year by USTCA

Virginia head track and field coach Randy Bungard has been named the Southeast Regional Coach of the Year by the United States Track and Field Coaches’ Association (USTCA) as announced today by that organization. Bungard, the 2001 ACC Men’s Outdoor Coach of the Year, led the Cavalier men to a third-place finish at the ACC Outdoor meet, the highest finish for the men since 1984. This season he coached eleven All-Conference selections and an ACC Champion. He is in his fourth season as the coach at Virginia.
