FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The University of Virginia men’s golf team finished second at the Mason Rudolph Collegiate Championship at the Legends Club of Tennessee in Franklin, Tennessee. The University of Alabama won the team title after posting a three-round total of one-under-par 839. Virginia finished one stroke behind with a score of 840.

The individual title was forced to go to a playoff after Mississippi State’s Codie Mudd and Steve Marino of Virginia each recorded three-round scores of 10-under-par 200. Mudd won the first playoff hole to claim medalist honors for the men.

Virginia’s Justin Goodhue tied for 16th with a three-round score of 212 (66-74-72). Rounding out the Virginia players were Jeremy Luce (70-68-76-214), Scott McMahon (73-74-71-218), and Kevin O’Connell (72-71-79-222).
