UVa Men's Basketball Team Plays First Exhibition Game On Friday

CHARLOTTESVILLE – The University of Virginia men’s basketball team plays its first exhibition game of the 2001-02 pre-season practice period on Friday (Nov. 2) when the Cavaliers host the Nantucket Nectars at University Hall.

Virginia has four starters returning from last year’s 20-9 team that competed in the NCAA Tournament. Returning starters for UVa include senior guard/forward Adam Hall, junior guard Roger Mason, Jr., junior forward/center Travis Watson and senior forward Chris Williams.

Friday’s game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. and admission is $5.

The Cavaliers’ second exhibition game is scheduled for November 11 when Virginia hosts the Los Angeles Stars at University Hall. That game is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
