UVa Novice Crews Sweep Top Three Places At Georgetown

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Novice eight crews from the University of Virginia women’s rowing team took the top three places on Sunday (Nov. 4) in competition at Georgetown University.
Virginia’s novice eight crews finished first, second and third in the competition with the Georgetown “A” boat finishing fourth and the Georgetown “B” boat finishing fifth. Two lightweight eight boats from Georgetown finished sixth and seventh, with George Washington University’s “A,” “B,” and “C” boats finishing eighth, ninth and tenth.
The Virginia women’s rowing team hosts the Rivanna Romp Regatta on Sunday (Nov. 11) at the Rivanna Reservoir. The regatta is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
