Greensboro, N.C. – The University of Virginia women’s basketball team was picked to finish eighth in the Atlantic Coast Conference in a poll conducted on Sunday, November 4, at ACC Women’s Basketball Media Day in Greensboro, N.C.

The Cavaliers return just four players from last season team that reached the NCAA Tournament. Virginia features eight new players on its 13-player roster, including five freshmen.

Defending ACC Champion Duke was picked to repeat as champion this season. The Blue Devils garnered 372 total points in the poll. Duke was followed by North Carolina (297 points), NC State (273 points), Maryland (246 points), Clemson (213 points), Florida State (198 points), Georgia Tech (120 points), Virginia (117 points), and Wake Forest (54 points).
