Virginia Rowing Team Hosts The Rivanna Romp On November 11

CHARLOTTESVILLE – The University of Virginia women’s rowing team’s only home competition of the 2001 fall season is scheduled for Sunday (Nov. 11) when the Cavaliers host the Rivanna Romp Regatta at the Rivanna Reservoir.

Other teams competing in the regatta include Clemson, Duke, Georgetown, Ohio State and Syracuse. Ohio State finished fourth and Virginia seventh in the team competition, and Syracuse was sixth in the varsity eight at the 2001 NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships.

The teams will compete in the varsity eight, the novice eight and the varsity four on Sunday. The competition is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
