Blacksburg, Va. – In men’s tennis action, Uva’s Michael Duquette faces off in a finals match on Sunday morning, in the Maroon Consolations at the Virginia Tech Initational.

Duqette picked up another victory on Saturday, advancing to the championship match in the Maroon Consolation match after defeating Virginia Tech’s David Emery, 6-3, 6-4, and will face Virginia Tech’s Stephane Rod, Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m.

In the orange consolation, Stephen Nolen defeated teammate Dillon Walker, 6-2, 6-2 to advance to the semi-finals, before falling to Old Dominion’s Salmon Mohammed, 7-5, 6-2. Mohammed defeated Tim Snead, 6-4, 6-3.

In doubles action, Duquette and Nolen lost a 9-7 match to Virginia Tech’s team of Dupljak and Kurz in the quarterfinals.
