KAHUKU, Hawaii – The University of Virginia men’s golf team is in third place at the 10-team 2001 University of Hawaii Fall Classic in Kahuku, Hawaii. The Cavaliers shot a 304 in both the first and second rounds at the par 72 7,199-yard Turtle Bay Resort Golf Club. They are +32 for the tournament. UVa trails second place Santa Clara by one stroke. The University of San Francisco leads the tournament with a two-round score of 606 (+30).

Kevin O’Connell leads the Cavaliers. He is tied for third overall in the tournament after shooting a three-over-par 147 through two rounds. Thomas Lee (153), Justin Goodhue (153), Steve Marino (155) and Jeremy Luce (162), round out Virginia’s scorers.

The tournament concludes Tuesday (Nov. 13) with one round of play.
