Vika Osipenko led a 1-2-3 sweep for the Cavalier track and field team in the women’s pole vault at the Father Diamond Invitational today in Fairfax. Osipenko won the event with a vault of 3.35m, while her teammates Annica White and Lauren Taggart finished right behind her as White posted a 3.35 and Taggart vaulted 3.05m. Kiamesha Otey also won for the Cavaliers, inching past 6 meters with a leap of 6.02m to take the long jump.

Naccole Guinn also finished on the medal stand with a second-place leap in the triple jump (11.97m). Guinn also finished sixth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.93. Carielle Doe was also a medallist for Virginia with her run in the 500-meters, finishing second with a time of 1:14.55.
