UVa Men's Tennis Closes First Weekend At ACC Coaches Indoor

The UVa men’s tennis team, opened its spring season, competing this past weekend at the ACC Coaches Indoor, played at the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center, in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Stephen Nolen made a run in the consolation rounds, advancing to the semifinal rounds, before falling to Georgia Tech’s West Nott, 6-1, 6-3. Jay Curtis made it to the quarterfinals of the consolation round.
Michael Duquette advanced to the second round of singles competition, and also picked up a win in the consolation round.
In doubles, Jonathan Chou and Dan Lempa defeated Georgia Tech’s Fabio Campos/Alex Nevinkov 8-6, before falling in the second round.
The Cavaliers return to action on Feb. 6, when they travel to Williamsburg, Va., for a match at William & Mary.
