Chapel Hill, NC – Naccole Guinn notched the farthest leap in the triple jump this season for a Cavalier, going 12.46m (40′ 10.5″) to take third. Teammate Curtrell Frye, who won the pentathlon on Friday, was fifth with her best leap of the year at 12.32m (40′ 5″). Carielle Doe fourth in 400m-dash (55.87), fastest this season at UVa. Eliese Mitchell went over 14 meters in the shot put for the first time this season (14.04m). Both Guinn and Mitchell just missed provisional marks in their respective events.

On the men’s side, Scott Kimball and Shay Clark finished within .02 of each other, and both came in well under the previous fastest time set this season. Steve Gross (mile), Justin Wood (3K) and Andy Filachek (5K) also set season bests at this meet.
