Miami, Fla. – The UVa women’s tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at the University of Miami on Monday afternoon. The Cavaliers now stand at 8-3 on the season.

Marta Bechliwanis, ranked at No. 123 in the latest ITA rankings, came away with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Miami’s Ewelina Skaza. Bechliwanis improves to 15-3 on the season. The Cavaliers got a doubles victory from Henriette Williams and Jennifer Tuchband, as they defeated Miami’s DeVilliers/Robbins team, 8-4, earning their second consecutive win at No. 1 doubles this season.

The Cavaliers return home this coming Sunday, as they begin ACC play with a match against Florida State, at 1 p.m. at the Sheridan Snyder Tennis Center.
