Charlottesville, Va. – The UVa women’s tennis team will open against Wake Forest in the 2002 ACC Tournament, less than a week after facing the Demon Deacons in their final regular season contest of the season. This year’s tournament will be held at the Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center, in Raleigh, N.C.

A Cavalier win would put them in a second round match with the winner of a North Carolina/No.7-No.8 match, on Saturday at noon.

Last season, the Cavaliers knocked off North Carolina, 4-3, in the first round before falling to Wake in the second round, 4-1. They advanced to play Kentucky in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
