Charlottesville, Va. – The University of Virginia has announced starting times for three of its first four football games for the upcoming season.

The Cavaliers kickoff the college football season at home on Aug. 22 against Colorado State in the second annual Jim Thorpe Classic. The starting time for this game has not been announced.

Following that game, the Cavaliers travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to face Florida State on Aug. 31. The FSU game is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m. and will be televised on ABC.

The Cavaliers’ game against South Carolina on Sept. 7 is scheduled to begin at 7:45 p.m. and will be televised nationally on ESPN as part of the network’s Saturday night prime time package.

Following a bye week, Virginia hosts Akron at 3:00 p.m. on Sept. 21 in its annual Homecoming Game.

Game times for the remaining games will be announced at a later time.
