Charlottesville, Va. –

The University of Virginia announces that its home football game against Colorado State in the second annual Jim Thorpe Classic on Aug. 22 is scheduled to kickoff at 7:30 p.m. (Eastern).

The first-ever meeting between the Cavaliers and the Rams, from the Mountain West Conference, will be televised by Comcast SportsNet and Fox Sports Net South.

Starting times for three other early-season games were announced last week. Virginia’s game against Florida State in Tallahassee, Fla., on Aug. 31 is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. and will be televised by ABC.

The Cavaliers’ home game vs. South Carolina on Sept. 7 is scheduled to begin at 7:45 p.m. and will be televised nationally on ESPN as part of the network’s Saturday night prime time package.

Following a bye week, Virginia hosts Akron at 3:00 p.m. on Sept. 21 in its annual Homecoming Game.

Game times for the remaining games will be announced at a later time.
