Football Announces Open Practice Schedule During Training Camp

Charlottesville, Va. – Catch your first glimpse of the 2002 Cavaliers as the first eight days of the team’s training camp will be open for fans’ viewing pleasure.

Fans are asked to pick up an admission credential at the McCue Center reception desk. Entrance to the football practice fields is located next to the McCue Center, behind University Hall.

Once inside the practice facilities, fans must remain in the designated bleacher seating on the left. Cameras, video cameras, and cell phones will not be permitted at practice.

Virginia opens the 2002 football season on Thursday, August 22 with Colorado State in the Jim Thorpe Classic at 7:30 p.m. at the Carl Smith Center, home of David A. Harrison III Field at Scott Stadium.

All open football practices are FREE.
