CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Virginia men’s tennis team continued play at the first UVa Invitational as one doubles team advanced to the finals and one individual and one doubles team reached the semifinals.

In Flight A, second year Chris Gonyer won his first match of the day in the quarterfinals before falling in the semifinals later in the day. He will play in Sunday’s Flight A third place match.

In doubles action, the team of Kyle Hatten and Stephen Rozek advanced to the finals of Flight B with their two wins on Saturday. The will play look to capture a flight championship for the Cavaliers on Sunday. In flight A, the team of Michael Duquette and Darrin Cohen advanced to the semifinals with a win on Saturday before falling later in the day.

The three-day event at the Snyder Tennis Center will conclude on Sunday as play begins at 9:00 a.m with the flight and consolation finals will be played. The tournament features players from 14 schools.
