WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP)Matt Schaub threw for 312 yards and threetouchdowns as Virginia rallied to beat Wake Forest 38-34 Saturday.

Heath Miller and Ryan Sawyer each caught two touchdown passes for theCavaliers (3-2, 1-1 ACC).

Chris Barclay, Ovie Mughelli and Cornelius Birgs all scored first-halftouchdowns for Wake Forest (2-3, 0-2) as the Demon Deacons dominated the firsthalf and led 27-10.

Schaub hooked up with Sawyer for a 33-yard touchdown pass with 4:54 left inthe second quarter for Virginia’s only touchdown of the first half.

Virginia cut the lead to 34-31 in the fourth quarter, then took the lead forgood on Marques Hagans‘ 13-yard touchdown run with 6:13 left. The score cappeda 10-play, 78-yard drive.

Virginia running back Wali Lundy had a 38-yard TD pass to Sawyer in thethird quarter.

Mughelli scored Wake Forest’s only second-half touchdown on a 3-yard runwith 7:36 left in the third.
