CHARLOTTESVILLE – The University of Virginia men’s basketball team plays its second and final exhibition game of the 2002-03 preseason practice period on Sunday (Nov. 17) at University Hall against the One World All-Stars.

Virginia defeated Big Apple Basketball 84-60 in its first exhibition game November 10 at University Hall. The Cavaliers’ starting front court of Travis Watson, Nick Vander Laan and Elton Brown combined for 69 points and 47 rebounds in that game. Watson scored a game-high 32 points and had 17 rebounds, Vander Laan grabbed a game-high 24 rebounds and added 14 points, and Brown scored 23 points and had six rebounds.

Sunday’s exhibition game with the One World All-Stars is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. General admission tickets are $5 each.

Virginia opens its 2002-03 regular-season schedule on November 22 against Long Island University at University Hall. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
