CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The #6 seeded University of Virginia men’s soccer team will host the William & Mary Tribe in the second round of the 2002 NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship on Wednesday, November 27th at 7:00 PM. William & Mary was a 2-1 winner over the Duke Blue Devils in its first round match on Friday, November 22nd in Durham, N.C.

Gates at UVa’s Kl?ckner Stadium will open at 6:00 PM for the contest between the Cavaliers and the Tribe. Ticket sales are $7.00 for adults and $3.00 for youths and student of the participating schools with a valid student ID. Tickets for the contest will not be sold in advance and all seating in Kl?ckner Stadium will be general admission.

Virginia (15-6-0) will be facing William & Mary (14-7-1) for the second time this season. The Cavaliers lost a 1-0 decision to the Tribe on September 25th on a neutral field site in Newport News, Va. UVa is 14-6-4 (.667) all-time against W&M in men’s soccer.

Virginia will be making its 61st appearance in a NCAA Tournament contest when it faces William & Mary. UVa stands 40-18-2 (.683) all-time in the history of the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship. The Cavaliers won 17 consecutive NCAA Tournament games from 1992-1995 and won the National Championship five times in 1989, 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1994.
