GREENSBORO, N.C. – Virginia’s Matt Schaub and Wali Lundy have been selected as Atlantic Coast Conference football Players of the Week, ACC officials announced on Monday.

Schaub (West Chester, Pa.) went 23 of 27 for 249 yards and three touchdowns in Virginia’s upset of No. 18 Maryland. The junior has passed for at least 200 yards eight times this season. Schaub’s completion percentage of 85.2 (23-27) is a career-high and tops in the ACC this season. The Cavaliers tallied 438 yards of total offense, the second-highest total allowed by Maryland this season.

The ACC honor is the second this season and the second of his career. Schaub also earned the Conference honor on Sept. 30 after leading UVa to a come-from-behind win at Wake Forest.

Lundy (Willingboro, N.J.) scored a career-high three touchdowns in Virginia’s upset of No. 18 Maryland. The freshman running back recorded his first two receptions for touchdowns against the Terrapins. He became the first player this season to have both a receiving and a rushing touchdown in the same game. Lundy led UVa’s rushing effort with 84 yards on 19 carries and also had four catches for 54 yards, including a 24-yard TD pass in the third quarter.

The honor is the second of Lundy’s career. He also captured Rookie status following his performance against Colorado State.

Virginia (8-4, 6-2 ACC) travels to intra-state rival Virginia Tech (8-3, 3-3 Big East) on Nov. 30. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. on ESPN.
