CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The University of Virginia wrestling team competed in the 2002 Sharpie-Carolina Wrestling Open at the University of North Carolina’s Carmichael Auditorium. The Cavaliers were lead by the trio of Tim Foley (Stafford, Va./Brooke Point), Josh Etu (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) and Bob Seidel (Wall, N.J./Wall). Foley won the 157-pound class title after winning his first two matches by fall en route to finishing 5-0 in the event to become the only UVa wrestling to claim an individual title. Etu and Seidel each placed second in their respective weight classes.
