Marcie Dickson to Take Leave of Absence

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Women’s basketball forward Marcie Dickson has taken a leave of absence from the University of Virginia for medical reasons, school officials announced on Wednesday.

The 6-2 junior from Maplewood, N.J., plans to return UVa for the summer 2003 session.

Dickson averaged 2.3 points and 1.0 rebounds per game during 12 games for the Cavaliers this season.
