Virginia Football Accepts 2002 Season Awards

Virginia Athletic Director Craig Littlepage presented the ACC Coach of the Year award to head football coach, Al Groh, during a timeout at the Virginia vs. Duke basketball game on February 15th. To the chants of the crowd, quarterback Matt Schaub accepted the ACC Player of the Year award for his spectacular play at the helm of the Cavalier offense. Littlepage then presented the Continental Tire Bowl trophy to the crowd, celebrating Virginia’s win over the West Virginia Mountaineers. Virginia Football kicks off the 2003 season against Duke in Scott Stadium on August 30th.
