Charlottesville, Va. – The University of Virginia hosts Mount St. Mary’s in the first round of the 2003 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Tournament at Kl?ckner Stadium this Saturday (May 10). The opening faceoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for youth 18-and-under, senior citizens and students of the participating schools with ID. The is no presale of tickets. Tickets will be sold at the ticket windows at Kl?ckner Stadium beginning at noon-one hour prior to faceoff. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to avoid encountering delays just before the game’s scheduled start.

Virginia is the tournament’s second seed and has an 11-2 record this season. This is the Cavaliers’ 27th tournament appearance overall, second behind Johns Hopkins (32), and 11th in a row.

Mount St. Mary’s secured its first ever tournament bid by winning the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference’s automatic bid. The Mount is 10-7 overall this season and has won its last three games.

This is the first meeting between the two schools.

The winner of this game faces the winner of Sunday’s Georgetown at Rutgers game in the quarterfinals at Towson University on Sunday (May 18).
