Virginia’s Dawn Cleary and Brian Kollar both finished in the top five at the NCAA East Regional in their respective events and have advanced to the national meet in Sacramento. Cleary, the Virginia school record holder in the steeplechase, ran a 10:09.95 and finished fifth in the meet, while Kollar, an All-American in the javelin and the two-time reigning ACC Champion, finished third with a toss of 70.42.

The Cavaliers got a pair of eighth place finishes as Kiamesha Otey took eighth in the 200 with a time of 23.89 and Natalie Randolph took eighth in the 400 intermediate hurdles with her 58.98, her season-best.

Eliese Mitchell competed in both the hammer (54.20m) and the discus, and she took ninth in the discus with a 48.68m. The women’s 1600m relay team took sixth with a time of 3:36.42.
