Virginia’s McGavock Dunbar, a two-time All-ACC Indoor selection, ran the Cavaliers’ fastest 800m run with his fourth-place finish at the Alex Wilson Invitational, which was held at the University of Notre Dame. Dunbar’s time of 1:49.18 is an NCAA Provisional mark and he awaits selection to the NCAA Championships which will be held in Fayetteville, Ark. March 12-13.

Teammate Will Christian also ran a Virginia-best time with his 14:33.60 in the men’s 5K. Christian, who led the Cavalier men’s cross country team to the NCAA Championships in November for the first time since 1984, took fourth in the 5K at the ACC meet in February.
