Austin, Texas – The Virginia men’s golf team shot a 290 (+6) in the first round of the Morris Williams Intercollegiate on Monday.

Virginia was led by sophomore Brad Tilley (Chappaqua, N.Y.), who shot a 71 (-1). Junior Kevin O’Connell (Potomac, Md.) came in with a 72 (E). Sophomore Eamonn McLoughlin (Amityville, N.Y.) added a 73 (+1). Freshman Daniel McGurk (Woodlands, Texas) shot a 74 (+2), and senior Jeremy Luce (Austin, Texas) rounded out the scoring with a 77 (+5).

The second round of play was suspended with several teams, including Virginia, yet to finish. The second round will conclude on Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. at Austin Country Club, with the final round to immediately follow.
