Virginia Stands 15th at Intercollegiate

CARY, N.C. – The Virginia men’s golf team stands 15th after the first day of action at the Courtyard by Marriott Intercollegiate.
Kansas paces the field of 15 with a 14-under 562. Duke is second with an 11-under 565, while Minnesota is third with a one-under 575. The Cavaliers shot a 600 (+24)
Wake Forest’s Bill Haas paces all players with an 11-under 133. Georgia Southern’s Aron Price and Kansas; Kevin Ward are tied for second with a eight-under 136 each.
Sophomore Eamonn McLoughlin (Amityville, N.Y.) paces UVa with a 149 (+5). He fired a one-under 71 in the second round. Senior Jeremy Luce (Austin, Texas) follows by one stroke with a 150 (+6), while freshamn Daniel McGurk (Woodlands, Texas) shot a 151 (+7). Sophomore Brad Tilley (Chappaqua, N.Y.) and junior Kevin O’Connell (Potomac, Md.) round out the scoring with a 154 (+10) each.
The final round of the Courtyard by Marriott Intercollegiate tees off at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 10.
