Virginia first-year Meggie Schuelke went to Philadelphia to compete in her first Penn Relays as a college athlete and came away with a bronze in the collegiate women’s high jump competition, clearing 5′ 8″. Teammate Caroline Harvey just missed medalling, coming in fourth in the Eastern women’s long jump competition with an 18′ 11.75″.

Virginia assistant coach Dawn Cleary won the Olympic Development steeplechase competition with a 10:28.97.

The Cavaliers continue competition at the prestigious Penn Relays tomorrow, Friday, April 23 as six relay teams compete for Virginia.
