HARRISONBURG, Va. – The University of Virginia baseball team’s game against the James Madison Dukes at Long Field at Mauck Stadium was cancelled in the second innings of play this afternoon. James Madison held a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning with the bases loaded and no outs when the game was stopped due to heavy rain and lightning in the area. Following an hour and a half delay, the game was officially cancelled. No make up date has been announced for this contest and the game may possibly not be rescheduled.

Virginia will return to home action on May 13-15 when the Cavaliers host the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in a three-game Atlantic Coast Conference series. Virginia will face Wake Forest on Thursday, May 13th at 7:00 PM, Friday, May 14th at 7:00 PM and Saturday, May 15th at 2:00 PM. All three contests will be played at Davenport Field at the UVa Baseball Stadium.
