The Virginia field hockey team is ranked 13th in the latest NFHCA poll and also in scoring offense, as released by the National Field Hockey Coaches’ Assocition this morning (Sep. 21). The Cavaliers (5-3) are scoring at a clip of 3.03 goals per game and are led in scoring by second-year Mia Link. Link ranks 10th nationally with 21 points on 9 goals and 3 assists. Her nine goals ranks her ninth nationally. Teammate Erin Hayes ranks 10th nationally with two defensive saves.

The Cavaliers return to action against in-state rival James Madison on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 4:00 in Harrisonburg.
