KAHUKU, Hawaii – The Virginia men’s golf team is tied for seventh from the field of 19 teams after the second round of the University of Hawaii’s Turtle Bay Intercollegiate on Tuesday.

UNLV fired a 10-under 278 on the day to take a three-stroke lead with a 563 (-12). The day’s best round came from host Hawaii which shot a 12-under 276 to jump from fifth place into second with a 567 (-9). The Cavaliers are tied with San Diego with a 579 (+3) each.

The top three individuals each fired a six-under 66 in the second round. Hawaii’s Cody Wolfenbarger leads all players with a 135 (-9). St. Mary’s Liam Kendregan is second with a 137 (-7), while three players are tied for third with a five-under 139.

Junior Brad Tilley (Chappaqua, N.Y.) shot a two-under 70 to tie for 14th with a 143 (-1). Sophomore Mark Perry (Atlanta, Ga.) followed by one stroke with a 144 (E). Senior Kevin O’Connell (Potomac, Md.) and sophomore Daniel McGurk (Woodlands, Tex.) are tied with a 148 (+4). Junior Carter Henderson (Nashville, Tenn.) rounded out the UVa scoring with a 151 (+7).

Action at the Turtle Bay Intercollegiate concludes on Nov. 3.
