CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia men’s soccer team was awarded the number four (4) seed in the upcoming 2004 Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Championship. Virginia (14-4-0, 4-3-0 ACC) will face the number five seeded Duke Blue Devils (14-4-0, 4-3-0) on Wednesday, November 10th at 2:30 PM at SAS Soccer Complex in Cary, N.C.

UVa defeated Duke 3-2 in overtime in the regular season meeting between the two schools on October 23rd, 2004 in Charlottesville. The Cavaliers defeated the Blue Devils 4-1 two years ago the last time the two teams met in the ACC Tournament on November 14, 2002 in Cary, N.C.

The winner of the Virginia/Duke match will play the winner of the #1 Wake-Forest vs. #8 Virginia Tech match on Friday, November 12th at 5:30 PM. The ACC Championship match is scheduled to be played on Sunday, November 14th at 1:00 PM.
