CHARLOTTESVILLE – The University of Virginia men’s basketball team plays the final exhibition game of its preseason practice period on Friday (Nov. 12) when the Cavaliers host Marymount University at University Hall. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. and tickets cost $5.

Virginia defeated Lehman College 121-29 in an exhibition game on November 5 at University Hall. Sophomore forward/guard Gary Forbes made all nine of his shots from the field and scored 21 points off the bench to lead the Cavaliers. Six other Virginia players scored in double figures as UVa shot 64.1 percent from the field.

Earlier this fall, the Cavaliers won three exhibition games during a trip to Montreal. Virginia defeated Royal Military College (111-52, Oct. 8) and Concordia University (88-76, Oct. 9) in the Concordia Nike Tournament, and McGill University (83-46, Oct. 10).

UVa plays its first game of the 2004-05 regular season on November 19 when the Cavaliers host Robert Morris University. That game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
