Charlottesville, Va. – The University of Virginia football team will play Fresno State in the MPC Computers Bowl at 2 p.m. (EST) on Dec. 27 in Boise, Idaho. ESPN is televising the game nationally.

“We are excited about the trip to Boise and the challenge of playing Fresno State. The trip will enable our players and fans to experience a different area of the country, a very beautiful area,” said head coach Al Groh. “Experiences such as this are part of the overall educational process for our players.

“Football is all about competition and this will be great competition. Fresno State is the fifth-highest scoring team in the country, and has beaten Wisconsin, Colorado, Oregon, Washington and Kansas State in recent seasons. It’ll take all we’ve got to be ready for this one. It’ll be a real test.”
