The University of Virginia men’s distance medley team of McGavock Dunbar, Kellen Blassingame, Jordan Orr and Alex Tatu have earned a berth in the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, which will be held this weekend in Fayetteville, Ark. This quartet set the school record last weekend at the Alex Wilson Invitational at Notre Dame, running a 9:36.21. The men’s DMR race will take place at 9:30 pm on Friday, March 11.

Blassingame already holds the school records in both the indoor and outdoor 400m races, while Dunbar is the reigning ACC Champion at 800m. Dunbar and Tatu both rank in the top-10 all-time at Virginia in the 800m and mile events. Tatu and Orr are both in their first year of collegiate indoor track competition.
