CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia softball team opens the home portion of its 2005 season by hosting the five-team Hoo’s Who Tournament Friday through Sunday, March 18-20, at The Park. In addition to Virginia, the Hoo’s Who features Bowling Green, East Carolina, Rutgers and Toledo. The three-day round-robin tournament will be played on two different fields at The Park.

Virginia opens the Hoo’s Who Tournament on Friday (March 18) by hosting Bowling Green at 1:00 p.m. The Cavaliers also play East Carolina at 3:00 p.m. Friday. On Saturday, UVa hosts Rutgers at 1:00 p.m. and Toledo at 3:00 p.m. All four of Virginia’s games will be played on Field 1, UVa’s regular home field.

The Cavaliers stand at 6-14 on the season. Bowling Green is 4-13 in 2005, while East Carolina is 31-6 prior to its game against UAB Wednesday. Rutgers is 0-11 this season, while Toledo is 11-6.
