`HOOS UP NEXT?: The Virginia Cavaliers (17-6, 3-3 ACC) will host the Richmond Spiders (9-10, 3-0 A-10) in a non-conference game on Wednesday, March 23rd at 7:00 PM at Davenport Field at the UVa Baseball Stadium.

LAST TIME THEY MET: Virginia defeated Richmond 14-6 on March 2, 2004 in Richmond, Va. at the Spiders’ Pitt Field the last time the two schools met. The Cavaliers also defeated the Spiders 11-4 the last time Richmond played in Charlottesville on April 1, 2003. Since the 2000 season, Virginia and Richmond have split the ten games played between the two school in the series. Here is a look at the UVa/UR series since 2000:

PROBABLE PITCHING FOR VIRGINIA VS. RICHMOND: Virginia is expected to start Pat McAnaney (LHP, 1-0, 2.25 ERA, 12.0 IP, 5K) against Richmond. The Spiders are expected to counter with Brian Alas (RHP, 3-2, 6.29 ERA, 24.11 IP, 23K).
