TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The second contest of the three-game Atlantic Coast Conference series between Virginia and Florida State scheduled for Saturday, April 30th at 7:00 PM was rained out. Heavy thunderstorms dropped rain on the Tallahassee area throughout the afternoon and the precipitation – coupled with lightning – was expected to continue into the evening which forced the cancellation of game two. UVa and FSU will now play a doubleheader on Sunday, May 1st beginning at 11:00 AM at Dick Howser Stadium. The second game of the doubleheader will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first contest. There will be a 5:00 PM travel curfew due to the Cavaliers’ flight back to Charlottesville on Sunday evening meaning no inning will start after five o’clock.
