Virginia's Tom Hagan Named To The 2005 Valley Baseball League All-League Team

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – University of Virginia baseball player Tom Hagan (Roanoke, Va./Cave Spring) was named to the 2005 Valley Baseball League All-League Team. Hagan, a rising fourth-year outfielder/first baseman for the Cavaliers, led the Valley Baseball League (VBL) with a .360 batting average and a .478 on-base percentage while playing for the Covington Lumberjacks. Hagan also recorded 40 hits, scored 24 runs and stole 11 bases for the Lumberjacks.
UVa’s Patrick Wingfield (Winchester, Va./John Handley) and Matt Bernstine (Ocoee, Fla./Florida Community College) also participated in the Valley Baseball League. Wingfield suited up for the Winchester Royals and Bernstine played with the Staunton Braves in the VBL.
