CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – University of Virginia wrestling recruits Brent Jones (Virginia/Robinson High School) and Ross Gitomer (New Jersey/Blair Academy) turned in some outstanding performances at the 2005 National Junior Wrestling Championships in Fargo, North Dakota. Jones took second place in the National Junior Greco-Roman Championships at 215-pounds and placed sixth in the National Junior Freestyle Championships at 215-pounds, while Gitomer finished second in the National Junior Freestyle Championships at 119-pounds.

Jones and Gitomer, two of Virginia’s top incoming recruits, highlight a recruiting class ranked #22 in the nation according to Intermat Wrestling. Jones is projected to compete at 197-pounds at Virginia, while Gitomer is slated to compete at 125-pounds as a Cavalier.
