Charlottesville, Va. – The University of Virginia’s home football games against Temple (Nov. 5) and Georgia Tech (Nov. 12) are sold out.

This brings to five the number of home games that are sold out this season. Previously games against Duke (Sept. 24), Florida State (Oct. 15) and Virginia Tech (Nov. 19) were sold out. Earlier this summer, Virginia announced a season ticket sell-out of 39,123, the second consecutive year the program established a record for the number of season tickets sold.

Tickets now remain only for the Sept. 3 home opener against Western Michigan. Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 6 p.m. There are a variety of activities scheduled around the home opener including; a postgame fireworks show, the return of Cavalier Fan Fest at the Aquatic and Fitness Center and the Wahoo Team Walk held adjacent to the stadium.

“The home opener is always one of the most exciting games of the season for our fans, as they have been waiting close to nine months to once again experience the Virginia Football Gameday atmosphere,” stated Associate Athletic Director Hunter Yurachek. “Now, if you don’t already have your tickets, it could be your only chance to see the `Hoos in action this season.”

Tickets can be purchased online at www.virginiasports.com or by calling the Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-542-UVA1.
