CHARLOTTESVILLE – The University of Virginia women’s rowing team hosts eight teams at the Rivanna Romp Regatta on Sunday (Nov. 13). The regatta, held at the Rivanna Reservoir, is the team’s final competition of the fall season.

Virginia hosts teams from Cincinnati, Clemson, Miami, North Carolina, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin. Competition is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. with the varsity eight event. The novice eight competition will begin at 11:00 a.m. and small boat competition is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.

The Virginia men’s club rowing team is also scheduled to compete against other men’s crews at the regatta.

The Cavaliers enter the Rivanna Romp after a strong performance at the Princeton Chase on October 30. Virginia finished second and fourth in the open eight competition, and third in the open four competition at the regatta. The Princeton Chase was held on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J.
