GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior D’Brickashaw Ferguson (Freeport, N.Y.) earned ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week accolades, the conference announced on Monday.

The senior tackle graded out at a season-high 85% in the upset of No. 24 Georgia Tech. Ferguson was paired against two-time ACC sack leader and dynamic DE Eric Henderson. The only quarterback pressure for the Cavaliers came when Ferguson was assigned to another player. He helped UVa to 366 yards of total offense.

The ACC honor is the fourth in Ferguson’s UVa career and first this season.

The Cavaliers (6-3, 3-3 ACC) host intra-state rival No. 7/6 Virginia Tech (8-1, 5-1 ACC) this week. Kickoff is set for Noon on ESPN at the Carl Smith Center, home of David A. Harrison III Field at Scott Stadium.

The game also marks the first football competition between UVa and Tech in the Commonwealth Challenge, presented by Adelphia. The winner will earn two points in the all-sports competition. Virginia currently leads in the challenge standings, 6-1.
