Cavalier Sports Weekly to Air this Week

The second season of the award-winning Cavalier Sports Weekly, presented by the Virginia Lottery, continues Sunday, February 19th. The fast-paced, half-hour program provides comprehensive coverage of Virginia Athletics. Cavalier Sports Weekly can be seen regionally each Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet. The program will also air on the new ABC, CBS and FOX affiliates in Charlottesville, on FOX 35 Richmond and on WSET-TV ABC 13 in Danville, Lynchburg, and Roanoke.
Senior women’s tennis player Kristen James will host the show. The program will feature highlights, analysis, and exclusive footage from the men’s basketball team’s games against Longwood and Florida State. The show will spotlight senior men’s swimmer Fran Crippen as he strives to win an NCAA Championship and bring UVA its 8th consecutive ACC men’s title. Also included is a tribute to UVA basketball great Bryant Stith, a look at the baseball team, and women’s basketball highlights from their games against Longwood and Wake Forest.
